In plain words: what is kept, why it is kept, and how to have it removed.

Who holds your information

Dermot Merrigan Medium is the keeper of anything you share through this site. If you have a question about your own information, or you want it changed or deleted, write to hello@dermotmerrigan.com and it will be dealt with personally.

What is collected

Only what you give. When you book a reading or a session: your name, email, phone number if you give one, and anything you write in the notes. When you join The Knot & The Rune: your name and email, and the details of your membership with the payment provider. When you order a birth card, a candle ritual or something from the shop: your name, email and delivery address. When you set up your room: the birth details and intentions you choose to share. When you join the mailing list: your email address.

Readings and spiritual work

Anything you share for a reading is treated as confidential. Notes are kept only so that a follow-up reading can begin where the last one finished, and they are never sold, published or shared.

Payments

Card details never reach this site. Payments are taken by Stripe or Wix Payments, who process the card and tell this site only whether the payment succeeded. Their own privacy terms apply to the card details themselves.

Emails and letters

You are written to if you asked for it: a booking confirmation, an order confirmation, a welcome letter, the monthly letter, the morning affirmation for members. Every letter has a link to stop them, and stopping them takes effect immediately.

Who can see it

Dermot, and the tools the site runs on to send email, take payment and hold bookings. Nothing is sold, rented or passed to advertisers.

How long it is kept

Booking and order records are kept as long as the accounts need them. If a membership trial is cancelled before the first payment, the details set up in the room are held for seven days and then deleted. You can ask for anything to be deleted at any time.

Your rights

You may ask to see what is held, ask for it to be corrected, ask for it to be deleted, or withdraw your agreement to be written to. One email is all it takes.
